Welcome to Makin’ Scents — your local candle shop and creative hub right here in Bangor.
We’re proud to bring over 30 years of candle-making experience to the heart of the town. Behind the scenes, we run Bespoke Candles, a working candle factory where every candle is carefully handmade with passion and skill. Now, with Makin’ Scents, we’ve created a space where you can not only shop our locally crafted candles but also get hands-on with dipping and candle-making workshops.
Our mission is simple: to share the joy of candle making and beautiful scents in a warm, welcoming environment. Whether you’re picking out a candle for your home, dipping a unique taper at our dipping tank, or spending a few hours upstairs crafting your own candle with friends, we want you to feel inspired and at home.

Pat Duggan — Founder
Pat’s been crafting candles for over 30 years and is a true master of his craft. He loves experimenting with new recipes and ideas, always bringing a spark of creativity to everything he makes.
Caoimhe Duggan — Operations Manager
Caoimhe keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly and customers have a great experience. She’s passionate about helping bring Pat’s candle-making magic to life in Bangor.
